Welcome to the Providers Unite Briefing pack for our Day of Action – 29.9.25 We hope you will be able to find the details within this pack useful to plan and enjoy the day.

Location: Liverpool, Merseyside

A few practical suggestions before you leave home, please do make sure you bring:

  • 1. Water, Snacks, Food and any Medication you may need.
  • 2. Strong shoes we will be on our feet for up to 3 – 4 hours!
  • 3. Layers and waterproof clothes, we know how unpredictable the weather is!
  • 4. Amplification Equipment - Microphones, PA system, or loudhailers.
  • 5. Minimal valuables – please keep phones and money safe.
  • 6. A picnic blanket or portable chairs.
  • 7. Your banners, flags, posters, instruments and voices!

Please DO NOT BRING

  • 1. Umbrellas, as we would not want to cause any injury, and there will be potentially a thousand of us standing in close proximity.
  • 2. Any materials with swear words or images of any Member of Parliament, such as the Prime Minister or Chancellor.

  • A taxi from Liverpool Lime Street train station will take approx 5 minutes.
  • Walking from Lime Street train station will take approx 20 mins.
  • Buses routes 82, 82A and 86 stop nearby the Cathedral. Buses stopping near the Cathedral every 12 minutes or so – it’s an easy way

All are welcome to come into the Sir Giles Gilbert Scott Suite at the Cathedral

  • Time from: 10:30am to 15:00pm and use this throughout the day.

The entrance to accessible parking for Liverpool Cathedral is via Upper Duke Street. The car park includes designated disabled bays for visitors who require them. If you need assistance, support is available at the Constables Lodge. To arrange this in advance, please contact the team on 0151 702 7260 before your visit.

  • 3. Initial Meeting Point: For Stewards & First Aiders

RALLY INFORMATION

Supported People will lead our procession to the Albert Dock.

Walking Route Map:

Total Distance: 1.3 miles circa 40 minutes
Nature of Walk: Peaceful march
Purpose: Peaceful gathering and advocacy

Form up from 11.50am – Form up this is the time we beginning to assemble in order to start our rally.

All Rally Participants are invited to St James Road exit - see star on map

12.10am Rally Starts:
  • We walk onto Upper Parliment Street
  • Turn into Wapping towards the Dock
  • approx 12.40pm – Stand and talk with press at grassed area by Blundell St jct – see rectangle on the map
  • Cross to other side of road continue walk up Wapping to Strand St approx 1.10pm
  • Turn point 1 Mann Island – walk back to Blundell St/Queens Wharf Jct
  • Disperse approx 2.15pm
